David Karlsson 00ae462174 docs: remove version qualification from empty MCP setup
The empty static MCP setup instructions unnecessarily qualify support by version. Describe the command directly, consistent with the requested documentation style.

David Karlsson 8663a30546 docs: separate starting sandboxes without MCP servers
Starting without MCP servers is a distinct use case from preloading named servers. Give it a dedicated subsection and keep option constraints there.

David Karlsson 6760e6fb18 docs: explain empty static MCP mode
The MCP gateway guide omitted the empty static set and its unload behavior. Add a local-only example, value constraints, and persistence guidance without asserting a shipping version.

Alexa KristensenandCursor 7c82035bcb docs: clarify how to view and change plans (#26417)
## Summary

The billing pages repeated steps covered elsewhere and never said what
each screen shows. Plan pages also left out the actions available from
Docker Home. This explains each Billing screen, documents those actions,
and points plan changes at the plans catalog instead of repeating them.

Zainab Oladimeji 4cedf2e052 docs(ai): standardize Gordon free-tier terminology (#26420)
## Description

Standardizes the terminology used to describe Gordon’s free tier across
the documentation.

- Replaces **“Personal (free) subscription”** with **“Base tier
(free)”** in the Gordon data privacy documentation.
- Aligns the terminology with the existing Gordon usage-limits
documentation.
- Preserves the existing data retention policy and all related
explanations.

This change improves consistency and clarity for readers without
changing the documented data privacy practices.

David Karlsson 4c58b5e696 docs: clarify sandbox checkout and parallel task workflows (#26408)
## Summary

The Git workflow guide omitted mountless repositories and suggested that
separate branches were enough to isolate simultaneous tasks. Add a
mountless workflow, compare where changes appear, clarify Git access in
direct mode, and align the workflows overview and Claude Code guidance
on using separate working directories.

Markdown and Vale checks pass for all three changed pages.

David Karlsson 5179c97252 docs: build and preview an app in the DAP Shell quickstart (#26413)
## Description

Make the first Docker Agentic Platform session useful without a model
provider API key: launch the Shell kit, clone the Welcome to Docker
sample, build its container image, run the app, and preview it through
the Console's port connection. Readers can continue editing the same
project in VS Code or Cursor over SSH.

David Karlsson 6bc39c45a1 docs: make cloud environment files a practical workflow (#26393)
## Summary

The cloud environment example didn't show how to work on a project, and
readers had to reach later subsections to discover the differences from
local sandboxes. Move the walkthrough into the cloud section, explain
those differences upfront, and show how to create an environment, copy
in a project, work with Claude Code, retrieve changes, and clean up.

Cover cloud credentials, expiration, unsupported settings, and reuse
limitations. Preserve the original entry anchor and update cloud
cross-references. Behavior checked against docker/sandboxes
release/v0.49 at c5b19951af12; scoped Markdown and Vale checks, Hugo
build, and rendered internal link checks passed. No live cloud session
was run.

David Karlsson fce2734a08 docs: clarify how kits and environment files work together (#26405)
Environment files were introduced mainly as an alternative to publishing
a kit set, leaving their broader role unclear. Explain near the top of
both pages how kits package software and its requirements while
environment files capture sandbox configuration, add reciprocal links,
and shorten the kit-set comparison.

Scoped rumdl and Vale checks pass for both changed pages.

David Karlsson 6a06d3ec7a docs: update Sandboxes documentation for v0.49.1 (#26387)
Update Sandboxes documentation for current kit validation and signing
behavior, host Git-ignore snapshots, cloud proxy support, and browser
and daemon logging settings. Correct SSH workspace, policy refresh,
automation, environment merging, and T3 toolchain guidance.

Keep offline checks alongside kit validation and inspection, consolidate
proxy explanations, and make toolchain installation conditional.
Preserve the upstream explanation of kit context files.

Regenerate the published v0.49.1 release notes and vendor the CLI YAML
from docker/sandboxes release/v0.49.

Each atomic change has its own commit. Rebased onto main. Scoped
Markdown and Vale checks, the Hugo build, and diff whitespace checks
passed. All 121 CLI YAML files parse and match upstream exactly.

Manuel de la PeñaandClaude Opus 5 76fb601f73 docs(sandboxes): add Orca SSH integration page (#26282)
## Description

Orca is an agent development environment that runs coding agents in
parallel,
each in its own git worktree. It connects to a sandbox as a plain SSH
host and
installs its own relay inside it, so this works today with no changes on
either
side, and nothing documents it yet.

The page covers the SSH target fields (including the `_default_user_`
username), the C++ compiler Orca's remote terminals need, how agent
selection
works, and credential injection. It follows the shape of the T3 Code
page.

A separate change adds a C/C++ toolchain to the full sandbox templates.
Template
images publish independently of an `sbx` release, so the manual install
here
stops being necessary as soon as the new images carry the toolchain, and
I'll
follow up to drop it once I can pull one that does.

The T3 Code page gets the same one-line change, since it documents the
same
manual install and should name the same package.

Left out deliberately: Orca also offers an "Orca-managed Node" runtime
per SSH
target, which uploads its own Node and needs no compiler at all. I have
not
tested that path against a sandbox, so it stays out until I have.

Arun AllamsettyandClaude Opus 5.5 7e40e5a15d DCL-2208 Point the get-offload link at the Offload checkout (#26398)
## Description

The Offload CLI prints `https://docs.docker.com/go/get-offload` when an
account has no Offload access. This PR changes where that short link
goes.

- Before: `https://app.docker.com/billing/catalog`, added in #26303.
- After:

The new target opens the Offload checkout directly. It asks the user to
log in first, then sends them to the checkout of their personal account.
A user who already has Offload skips checkout. After checkout, the user
returns to the Offload quickstart.

`ref=cli` and `refAction=NotEntitled` tell the app-ui checkout events
that the visit came from the CLI. The checkout keeps both params on
every step through to the success page. This lets us measure the Offload
sign-up funnel from the CLI. The app-ui changes are
docker/frontends#17539 and docker/frontends#17544, and both are in
production.

## Related issues or tickets

- DCL-2208: make the Offload web sign-up funnel measurable from end to
end.
- #26303 added the current `/go/get-offload/` redirect.

## Reviews

- The redirect handler (`hack/releaser/cloudfront-lambda-redirects.js`)
already supports targets with a query string, for example the `utm_*`
targets in the same file. It also appends any query params on the
incoming request.
- The checkout accepts `returnTo` only for HTTPS addresses on
`docker.com` hosts, so the quickstart address is accepted.
- To test after deploy, open `https://docs.docker.com/go/get-offload/`
while logged in to Docker. You land on the Offload checkout, and the
address has `ref=cli`.
